ZimRent (“we”, “our”, “us”) is a Zimbabwe property aggregator platform operated at zimrent.co.zw. We aggregate rental listings from multiple sources and allow landlords to list properties directly. Our contact email is hello@zimrent.co.zw.

Information you give us directly:

• Email alerts: If you sign up for property alerts, we store your email address and your search preferences (suburb, price range, bedroom count).
• Landlord accounts: If you register as a landlord, we collect your name, email address, and phone number. This is stored securely in our database.
• Tenant accounts: If you create a tenant account to save listings, we collect your email address and optionally your name.
• Enquiry forms: If you send an enquiry about a property, we collect your name, email, phone number, and message in order to forward it to the landlord.

Information collected automatically:

• We record how many times each listing is viewed (a simple count, no personal data attached).
• Analytics tools may collect your approximate location, device type, and pages visited. See the Cookies section below.

• To send you property alert emails when new matching listings appear.
• To allow landlords to manage their listings through the dashboard.
• To forward tenant enquiries to the relevant landlord.
• To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We use cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit ZimRent, you will see a cookie banner asking for your consent. You can accept or decline.

• Essential cookies: Required for the site to function — for example, keeping you logged in to your landlord or tenant account. These are always active.
• Analytics cookies: Used by Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to understand site traffic (pages visited, time on site, device type). Only loaded if you accept cookies.

• Google Analytics — website analytics, loaded only with your consent. Google Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense — advertising, loaded only with your consent. Google Privacy Policy.
• Resend — email delivery for enquiry notifications and property alerts.

• Alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Landlord and tenant accounts are kept for as long as the account is active.
• Enquiry data is forwarded to the landlord and not retained by ZimRent beyond that.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Withdraw consent for cookies at any time.
